Annual Best Ball Invitational Golf Tournament

11th Annual Best Ball Invitational Recap

We thank all the players and sponsors who made the 11th Annual Best Ball Invitational at The Park West Palm an outstanding success! The tournament was filled with comradery and raised a record-breaking $235,000 in support of the agency’s core programs.

It could not have been a better afternoon on the course, and the event included picturesque golf views, a gourmet lunch, and refreshments throughout the day, followed by an award ceremony and dinner to wrap up the festivities.  Twenty-four foursomes played in a best ball tournament, and the winning foursome was Joe Carron, Tom Frankel, Dan Stanton, and Mack Perry (pictured above).

This Best Ball Invitational would not have been possible without the hard work of our golf committee: Frank Bresnan, Sean Bresnan, Joe Carron, Tom Frankel, Ned Grace, Joe LaRocca, Jr., Gary Pohrer, and Jeff Preston. The committee is pictured above with Director of Agency Relations Layren Calvo and CEO Matt Constantine. We thank the committee for their enthusiasm and dedication to organizing a spectacular tournament each year.

We thank the players and sponsors for their generosity and enthusiasm for our mission which ensures Adopt-A-Family can continue to provide safe, quality housing and meaningful support services to those in our community who need it most.

2021 Better Ball Invitational

picture of better ball golf participants

After two years of being apart,  Adopt-A-Family’s Ninth Annual Better Ball Invitational made a triumphant return to Banyan Cay Resort & Golf in West Palm Beach on May 7.

Thanks to our players and event sponsors, this year’s Better Ball Invitational event raised over $200,000 – our most successful tournament to date.

The event was a much-needed return to normalcy as last year’s event was canceled due to the pandemic. It certainly felt like “old” times as participants gathered to enjoy a beautiful day of golf, picturesque views, and delightful fare. In all, twenty-four foursomes played in a better ball of the twosome format, and Alan Somerstein & Eric Boritz took first place.

This Better Ball tournament would not have been possible without the hard work of our golf committee: Frank Bresnan, Sean Bresnan, Joe Carron, Tom Frankel, Ned Grace, Joe LaRocca, Jr., Gary Pohrer, and Jeff Preston.

We congratulate all the winners and thank all the sponsors. We look forward to next year’s 10th Annual Better Ball Invitational!

Congratulations to all the winners:
